Support Women's D1 Hockey
Giving Day is a once-a-year effort to raise both money and awareness for dozens of areas at Liberty University that donors may choose to help fund. It is a chance to increase participation of many different groups, including, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and students. This year marks our third annual Giving Day where we have reached out to all stakeholders who are spiritually invested in the Christian mission of this university. We are asking that all participate by making gifts large or small to the area or areas of most interest.
Donations are applied to...
As one of the leading programs in the nation, Liberty Club Sports seeks to provide student-athletes a first-class experience aligned with the top levels of collegiate athletics. Club Sports has over 600 student-athletes ranging across 41 different teams. Supported by the University, the department has full-time staff dedicated to athletic training, strength and conditioning, transportation, events, academic support, spiritual development, alumni relations and recruitment.
Your generous giving will support the Liberty University Women’s ACHA Division 1 Hockey Team as we travel to Finland for a missions trip. This trip was originally scheduled for January 2021 but has been pushed back to January 2023 due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. The team will depart on December 27th and return on January 6th. The Liberty hockey team will be engaging with different age groups and communities in sport ministry through hockey clinics, leading school programs and playing 1-2 exhibition games with local teams. Players will have opportunities to share their testimonies, biblically based character stories, and even perform skits based on the parables that Jesus used to teach gospel truths. This is an incredible opportunity for our players and staff to not only serve and impact others, but to experience a life-changing trip abroad. We thank-you in advance for supporting our team. Watch the video posted here for highlights of our Men’s Hockey trip they took to Finland in January 2020.
Why are donations necessary?
In just a few months Liberty University will celebrate its 50 year anniversary. During this time we have graduated nearly 200,000 young men and women and trained additional tens of thousands in many varied educational disciplines. We have thousands of friends who have given sacrificially to Liberty over several decades, but now, as we enter our second 50 years, it’s time to raise up a new generation to continue the tradition of helping to provide the funds for training young champions. Like those who have graduated before them, students at Liberty today will soon leave to take the Gospel and a biblical worldview with them, impacting all areas of the culture and making new disciples of Christ. Your financial support during Giving Day helps us meet the financial needs of the coming year and make preparations for future generations.
